I live literally 300 yards from the begining of the runway of RAF Northolt and these fcukers fly over all the time. My room is on the 1st floor so can get perfect shots as the planes land

Two Tornados went over as well, but they are so fast didnt get a chance to get the camera out :( And unbelievably noisy too, sets all the car alarms off down our street.

Its when the fighter jets go over it gets interesting :lol: Oh and Price Charles landed here the other day, they closed off half the road for his private jag to drive down, i was sat in traffic (caused by that twat) on the other side of the road and got a great view of him

i really need a tripod, this was taken at 10x optical zoom (280mm equivilent as its a 28mm lens), most of the ones were blurry. these ones were the clearest ones!

Yeah, maybe. Been looking at some, but I'm alright with my lens I have at the moment. Wanting a Speedlite flash next, and a wireless transmittor, then some other stuff, and then move onto extra lenses.

Buying the Epson R1400 soon too, and selling my Epson printer.

Selling my 70-300mm Sigma lens, and 28-90mm Canon lens when I get back from Kenya too, and probably use that money for the speedlite.

Lol, cool. Was it just edited with Photoshop/Lightroom, or some Photomatrix going on there too? Noticed the clouds are a bit bad quality in the super large one, which is what happens when I do some power editing in Photoshop. Lightroom doesn't do it that bad, in comparison.

Yeah i know. I thought it looked nout like me aswell. Doesnt help when im wearing thick army pants and a fleece. With overalls over them, then a thick high viz jacket on over the top. You tend to look a bit wider lol.

Yeah Vivo took a few photo's. I took one. But with me taking a 1 minute exposure i disturbed the camera and fooked it up. Ill post it if you like. Erm i went with Vivo, Bogus and Kona (NEurbex). And those are victoria tunnels under Newcastle city. Couple miles long. full of items from the 2nd world war and stuff. Had to enter through a manhole.

Thats the only photo i took. Used little candles to create the light. It was totally black without our torches. As you would imagine 10ft under the ground lol. Also, i HAD to use Manual Focus as there was nothing to focus on! The candles created little or no light, so nout to focus on.

i had it on auto and i had some on Priority mode! to be honest mate i was just testing out all the different settings but alot came out really well! was a good day in terms of getting to know the camera and all the settings!

Its actually based in Canada isnt it? I dont think there is a flying one in the UK. Just Jane probably could fly, but its too expensive for the trust to get a flying license for it, and theres the question of insurance and if it did crash it would be completely irreplaceable. It does ground taxi runs though, stand in line with the exhaust pipes for maximum eardrum destruction :)
