View Full Version : Rockford Fosgate 1000watt RMS / 2000watt Peak Sub
Hi, has anyone heard of the new 1000watt RMS/2000watt Peak Rockford Fosgate Power subs, highly interested in purchasing one of these, as they are only 8" in size and you would never need more than 1!!!
I saw them in a friends magazine last night but I dont know what magazine he had!
Not heard of them mate. 1000watt RMS peak is all well and good but whats the continuos on them mate? Aslo, what music you wanting to play? An eight is mainly just for hard house/dance type tunes with punchy bas, try playing some fiddy cent thru it and its gonna fart like an old alsatian!!

i agree martin, getting a sub that powerful 8" you would be very lucky, the seround would be 2 rigid and break once it gets that high.but thats just what i think
I believe I made a mistake, and I think its 10" 1000watt RMS 2000 Watt Peak, but they do the same sub in 12" and 15" but still the same power!

the size has nothing to do with it. its the box that will goven what sound comes out. All the diffenece in size means the less air moved
right, erm ok.... try getting a 15 to play hard house. and an eight to drop low for some deep bass and I think you will see what I mean. 137.9db, not a bad effort there. Whats the set up?

Kev sounds like a man who knows his audio!
Speed X, if you are looking for something of that Rating, check out the Powerbass Subs I offer ( I still need to revamp the descriptions (sql database upload error) but the main spec can be found here..
http://www.utopiaaudio.com/ Select brands, Powerbass USA, Powerbass Xtreme Line
This kit has been proven to be able to handle continuous beatings from Dave @ Utopia in his Demo Van (pics can be found on my site in the photogallery) He had the 15" XS15-D v.2 Subs in there (9 in total! Power Handling (Rms / Peak): 1000 / 2000 watts ). I am sure a deal on the kit can be worked out! There is a 15% off voucher code in members offers!
