Has anyone got any, if so, are they any good?
I'm gonna get one myself, but I don't know which one to choose. Tempted by the 580EX. There's also the 430EX which I was tempted by at first. Is there any difference between the two?

personally i would go for the speedlite 430ex with the transmitter (ST-E2).
the only difference is the range over 100m (iso). the 580 has as the greatest range from around 58mm - 110mm.
but its not worth it for the extra £200 unless your going to do commecial large scale photography ;)
(I've got a new 430 on order)

Awesome, I may have to order myself a 430ex one then.
I just purchased a 28-300mm lens yesterday too, for an all around lens, so I don't have to keep switching, and changing. The flash would be a nice addition for my birthday next week too.
