I am wanting a new camera so I can get some nicer shots of the c etc etc. Now I know dslr is the way to go but at the minute I really cant afford it so ive been looking at cheaper options, one being the fuji s9500. Can anyone point me in the right direction? My budget is around £150. Thanks.

just get a compact mate rather than spending money on a bridge camera.

can get better value for money with a compact i reckon

No its the s9500, must be a lower model or something, how much would you be wanting for yours?

I already have a fuji f455 compact camera, was just wanting something a bit better.

ermm, i payed over £200 for it around 6 month ago, its still in mint condition so i would probably be looking at £150 + postage

Panasonic TZ3's are really good value online atm:
http://www.camerabox.co.uk/product1.asp?ProductID=2907&gclid=CJuL0J6l0ZMCFQQ_MAod7zn9iw

Falls within your budget, and i can vouch for the image quality being excellent. They are a bit bigger than most compact cameras, but nowhere near the size of the Fujifilm finepix hybrids. has a decent lens and 10x zoom.

I would get this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-PANASONIC-DMC-TZ3-Black-DIGITAL-CAMERA-40x-ZOOM_W0QQitemZ130226990842QQihZ003QQcategoryZ31388 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

£10 more expensive but comes with a full year warranty not 3 months like the other one, I guess it depends whether you are bothered about warranty though....

I would have thought so, i tend not to deal with ebay personally though. You'll obviously need a memory card as well, i used www.memorybits.co.uk (http://www.memorybits.co.uk) for mine, they were quick with delivery and are well priced

No bother, yes the warranty should be with the manufacturer as it is brand new.

The other one (3months) though was with the seller as it was refurbed.

Yeah, it will work fine - the TZ3 is SDHC compatible. Do you really need 8GB though? thats around 2000 images. Personally i just went for a 2GB high speed card to help with any burst mode shots.

In that case i would get two cards, one for the camera one for the eeepc, but if you want to use the same card for both then you may as well.

ehh, the quality is nowhere near that of even a modest compact camera tbh.
