yer, ive got even more questions now, been the ICE noob that i am, and trying to do a quality install.

well i have bought an alpine PDX-4.150 which sends out 150watts rms to each of the channels..

what i want to know is if its possible to use this amp as a 2 channel amplifier, yet i dont want to link it out so it send 300watts rms to each speaker, i only want 150 to each of the two speakers.

so bassically can i just put 2 inputs into the amp, channel 1, and channel 2, then put the outputs to each speaker from outputs 1 and 2...

i dont want to blow the speakers, or end up breaking the amp by only using half of it, im just not sure how they work.

am i correct in thinking that a 4 channel amp is basically 4 seperate 150watt amps, just put into 1 box?

You can think of it that way if you want, but electronically it is not the case.

oh ok, but is it correct that if i only use 2 of the 4 channels it will put 150 into each channel and do no damage to the amplifier though?
