Ok, ive been thinking about this for a while an not 100% sure whether it would be legal, so here it goes:
If i drill a hole in the foglights an fit sidelight bulbs in the fog case, an have them hooked up to my sidelights. would this be legal, as the fogs are kinda on but there only bright enough to light up enough so you can see the fogs (if ya get me) and wouldnt dazzle oncomming drivers as there only sidelight bulbs, but would look cool imo lol. so would this be legal in non foggy weather?

Also is it illegal if i connect my full beam with the fogs? jus that ive seen it done before when sumone has flashed me an looks pretty decent? :P

thanks
Nick

As far as im aware its illegal to have fogs on at any time apart from if its actually foggy.

IIRC you should only have fogs on if visiblility is less than 100m. You can get done for having them on when it is un-necessary.

As above, there's no point it doing it imo. Just get some HID's instead

I think that some sidelight's down there would look cool,

I'm going to be trying it over summer as i dont have fogs! will make something to hold them and wire them up!

Some cars now come with side lights built into the fog light unit rather than in the headlight unit, so as long as the fog lights are mounteded on the vehicle within required specs for side lights stated in the vehicle lighting regs than I don't think it would be an issue.

Any examples, pics?
