View Full Version : Interior LEDs
Does anyone have any step by step photos on how to change the interior LEDs as the pics in Hoops' guide don't appear to work for me (that and he cheated using premade kits).

Yeah sure thats cheating!
I take it you made your own irmy grille? You made your own alloy wheels? You made your own twin zaust? Thats if you have them.
This is the reason why entry to the tutorials should be for paying members only.

Oh for christ sake man, the cheating thing was a tongue in cheek statement and to be honest solering in LEDs isn't that complicated so that is a completely different ball park to making your own exhaust or alloys.
Though if where gonna be that mature about it if i had the relevent bending equipment and such like then yes i would make my own exhaust.
It was a good joke.
The tutorial that i made only had pictures of how to fit the converted items not pictures of how to covert each anyway.

man, pics should have been inculded with when u recievded the LEDs.
not that difficult lad. and there is a few tutorials on it that have picturs.
however its very simple, and doesnt require soldering, just plug in and twist.
Yeah but it helps to be able to see how to remove the bits and pieces 'cus the haynes manual photos aren't always the best for that sorta thing.
And we all love the lack of any way to convey tone or emotion on the internet.;)
*Also to ciaran, i've been told by another member that the window switches and the climate control need the LEDS soldering in. Was just after pictures to clarify before i start.
the window switches, c/control and audio controls all use surface mount leds there lots of the the pics you require on the forum. suface mount stuff reqires a steady hand and a cool soldering iron (12-15w)
mdf, clocks, and standard heater controls are plug and play
crazyleds have instructions on how to change most of the leds
Seing as im nothing but a cheat, i'll try and rectify my image. ;)
The speedo dials - Twist and lock bulbs (no soldering)
The heater controls - 286 bulbs/leds (no soldering) (Or Crazyleds heater SMD strip)
MFD - Twist and lock bulbs (2xprefacelift, 3xfacelift - no soldering)
Window switches - Soldering required (no idea of bulb size)
Steering controls - Soldering required (no idea of bulb size)
Climate control - Solering requred. Check out this thread - http://www.corsa-c.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=93863

IIRC window switches and steering controls use 1206s smd leds (can use 0805s but there a bit more fiddly to install)
Climate control uses plcc 4x4 SMD leds
