i got some hids from hids direct last year in my facelifts and i got 8000k and they looked blue but now i got angels and again some hids from hids direct they say 8000k but look more like 6000k. when i turn them on its like 8000k but when it warms up it looks like 6000k and if ya bend down the driver side turns blue but the right is white and if i dirve past cars i can see a bright blue reflection on both lights is this correct or wrong ?

My 6000K look really blue i thought they were 8000K when i put them in and yes all signs and reflections are blue. However if you look directly into the beam (don't stare for long!) it is pure white :?

Fair enough mate.

Give them a ring/email and explain the situation, they may send out replacement bulbs/ballasts.

yea i have emailed him but wont get a reply till tomorrow he only lives about 20mins away in monton but not gonna bother him. maybe its cos its in angles where in the facelifts with all the metal and reflective surface it made it look more blue then now cos angles are black ? no idea thanks

I have a similar issue. The initial fire up gives an aqua blue colour and the warmer they get the less this becomes, but nothing drastic. Forgive me for being ignorant (lol) but is it a problem if they look slightly different? Surely aslong as there working etc thats all that matters. (Although I can see why it would bug you if you think they have supplied the wrong ballasts/bulbs etc)
