Buying a head unit

Ive found a head unit cheap but it says "You will need cage/connections"
Does this mean that i can use a cage and connectons from an old cd player ?

If it doesnt come with a cage then i wouldnt bother with it tbh, nearly all good HU's comes with the mouting cage. What HU is it ?

some double din units dont come with a cage. some brands like clarion have an iso socket on the back of the hu so dont need a harness

If your looking a ex display in the likes of halfrauds forget it there well over priced for a used hu
