rattleing

im sick of rattleing in the door cards i am taking the door cards off in a few days is there anything i could use to like stop the rattleing. Would tapeing all the wires in one place help ?

dont think wires would tap

just make sure all the screws are tight when you put it back on

a right its a pain lol also would it be better to get some new comps for the front with standard hu or not

dunno mate im rather drunk but i got new speakers all round and kenwood head unit

sounds fine to me

i would have thought getting new speakers would sound better if you get decent ones

i got alpine front door speakers

they good quality £50 from halfords lol

i think alpine make speakers for vauxhall anyway

well easy, just a pain getting the door cards off

get the right speaker mounts

i got the 5.5 inch speakers i think or 6.5 cant remember

3 screws one plug sorted

yeah just 2 lil connections red and black i think make sure they are on secure and check they work before you put the door card back on cos u will cry if it dont work

ive done it loadsa times now its fine after once or twice

just take the screws out and pop it off the clips then lift it up from the bottom.

you gotta take the window switch out if its electric to get to 1 of the screws

theres a tutorial on here its good

There is a front speaker tutorial over yonder.
Although the window glass can be a source of rattling as well

also if i did get 100 watt or more speakers will there be a sound differnce on a standard hu than the standards or worse ?

Sound deadening will cure the rattles. But it'll cost a fair bit. Some flashing tape (DIY store) might do the trick if they are just standard speakers. Its more likely to be distortion than actual panel vibration tbh. To cure it you need an amp on your comps.

No point getting 100 watt speakers for a standard HU, the speakers atm in the car are like 6watts...think about it!
