boot poppers and door poppers

how do these actually work and what is required for them to work??

Not sure on the technicalitys of how they work but a lot of ppl have had difficulties with the boot poppers as the 'pop' itself isn't enough to shift the boot open. Have heard of a few people fitting custom springs to give it that extra shove!

are these reliable?? use these for both boots and doors?? see in fitting the likes of a meriva boot handle is a popper used there??
