Just purchased this:

not a bad price - but i really dont need one :\ and i've only got £70 in my bank...
Overdraft, here i come again...

not used one but they were very popular at xmas...
id opt to use it with a stripped out version of windows xp unless you prefer to use the preistalled linux os

its an eeepc lol
its a baby laptop with very basic specs - some basic programs on there and wifi

Pretty much yea.
Not amazing - tiny hard drive, 4gb solid state. but i figured i can browse the web (wifi) watch films in the car (external hard drive full of .avi's) and... i dunno, keep myself amused i guess.
I'm just installing windows XP on one at work - and i decided i wouldnt mind one :\
I really cant afford it tho

yea gunna stick to linux i think - and u can get 4gb secure digital card and install XP onto that aswell :dontknow: theyre what, about £10 now

Leeds Met Uni, in the Computing Services department.
Some lecturer ordered one - probably a mistake, no doubt we'll be fixing it most of the time. more of a toy i'd say :P

ahh rite, i used to work at laptops direct, when they came out they were like rocking horse s**t,

yea you know what lecturers are like, i dont think it will break, i just think they'll mess up the settings or not know how to work it.
would have been fine on linux, but theyre gunna want office and outlook and everything installing, gunna have no space left to save the documents :P

it just arrived.
looks abit dodgey, eg. it has a euro plug and adaptor, not uk.
but it works so **** it :D
i got one, they are fantastic for travelling, i got xp on mine and it boots up dead quick. 2gig of ram and soldered in a 32gig HD.
