Im getting a comp with Vista in the next week of so, so what are people recomended 'must have' downloads for Vista?

Free stuff obviously is best but pay stuff is worth knowing about if its good!

Stick to system updates, and get a decent virus/spyware program.

e.g. Zonealarm Internet Security Suite.

If you want an AV, then i would suggest NOD32 - its probably the only AV i would actually pay for.

Apart from that, i cant think of anything else essential for the average user.

If you want to good, lightwieght video player, then Media Player Classic is very good, you will need to download the relevant codecs though.
