RPG Game Suggestion?

hey, im looking for a good RPG. i used to play Diablo II and recently played another similar game and would like to know if there is any games currently out that are this type - combining magic-exp-battle and storyline. basically i want a good game to waste my time on as COD4 is getting boring :(

any suggestions appreciated!

cheers mate i have got vegas 2 also but want something more mystical/magical on the lines of Final Fantasy meets Diablo. 3rd person kinda game :)

Change the view to 3rd person then :P

If you liked Diablo, check out Neverwinter Nights and Icewind Dale. Both are older games now, but still great. i think the newest Icewind Dale is about 5 years old now, an the newest Neverwinter Nights is about 3 years old.

Another game to look out for is the RTS/RPG crossover game Sins of the solar empire. Very good game. If you like Dawn of War etc then this will keep you busy :)

I think Ill have to echo some of the comments here, you certainly cant go wrong with NeerWinter Nights series. And for some really old school fun try Baldurs Gate.

If you are after an MMO I would suggest you look into
City of Heroes/City of Villains
WOW
StarWars Galaxies
Age of Conan
Warhammer Online (when finally released)

I used to play Diablo II aswell. Was a fiend on there for a few years!

Been playing Age Of Conan lately, great game but £11 a month is a bit of a rip off!

12 wasn't that all bad. Bit of a ****e story line, and the battle control was annoying at first, but the longer I played it, the more I liked it! But thats just me!

Ive only ever played two, final fantasy 9, on PS1 which was great, fantastic story line, when I went visiting my dad when I were younger all i did for months was finish that game lol.

Also played final fantasy 10 which seemed really good but didnt have enough time to get into it.

My mate is obsessed with the series tho, if I were to buy a PS3, the new final fantasy would be the first game I bought

Ya i think i fall into the obsessed catergory aswell i clocked 180hrs on 10 untill my ps3 corrupted my save when transfering it across :(

10 is by far my fav tho, then 8 and 7

your the same as me lad... ffX was the best... i still take a notion eveny now and then and start it all over again... love the story line.. it took a while to get into.. ie slow start, but after that it just grabed me and i got / still am hooked on it...

i dont think htere is any thing else i could have done... got all their special weapons, all the hidden aeons, defeted all the dark aeons, found all thee spear things that yuna dad left, and everything lol... totallk love this game..

also really like yuna, think she amazing.. pitty shes only a computer generated image.... gerrr ffs....

also loved the music in this game aswell!!

The storyline is amazing and the music is so fitting. I have done pretty much everything all my stats are 255 (inc luck) - the only thing left is to beat Dark Penance. i was ready to face him but thought i would swap to the ps3 first and it corruptd the save lost about 50 hrs :(

tbh i think that everyone has to play 7 first, although i love 10 and its my fav i wish it was as difficult as 7 and 8 were

9 became quite rare a year or so ago, I remember trying to find a copy and they were fetching £40+ on amazon. Gone back down now though!

I have the platinum version, the book doesnt have a single mark on it and the cd's are completely perfect. Reckon its a money a maker?

i have 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2 and 12 orignal and most with the guides, i had origins and anthology (1, 2, 4 and 5) aswell but i dont know what happened to them :(

You really should see play 7, its an amazing game where all the hype started, still the best selling Final Fantasy to this day i believe. i just wish they would remake it for the ps3. Keep the game as it is just using next generation graphics

really on olymp when did u play what was yor charactor???

i pop on every now and again to see whos who...

i have a few charactors.. but my first and origional charctor is Zenmaster... was lvl 45 Tao, now 41 with that new title stuff he relisesd, but havent played it in a good few years...

I think i remember pking tao master.... with my other char raggy... (shared with a good freind)

used to be a load of us that played, thats why it was fun... me davids, raggy ursual... about 20 - 30 in the one guild... was good for a few years.. but surver got boring after he reset everything..
