I have fowarded the ports the camera's use along with port 80 for the http

When i try access the camera's from outside the network i am given a download file

'application/octet-stream'

Anyone else set up any IP camera's and and idea where ive went wrong?

yeah they definetely support remote connections as thats the purpose they were bought for but not sure on make and model of cameras

regarding the binary file..ive tried every possible way of checking for a file to open a video stream thats outputted from the camera's

surely you dont need to run the software on every computer, it should load up an interface with the 4 camera's on it in a webpage

hmm, if its showing the MIME type as 'application/octet-stream'
Then i think you may have to open the file with an external application as octet-stream is usually just code which only a certain application understands

Whats the file ext?
