just seen the trailer on you tube looks awesome they gone back to the world war 2 theme but its the russians vs germans and yanks vs japs hope online is good at number 4!!

This morning Activision announced a number of details regarding the latest installment in the Call of Duty franchise. Call of Duty: World at War will allow players to live vicariously as both the side of the US against the Japanese and the Russians against the Germans. The most anticipated feature, however, is the four-player co-op mode. On the PS3 (and Xbox 360) version, players can choose between a multiplayer four-player split-screen offline co-op mode or a four-player online co-op mode. Finally, there is experience points to be earned in both online modes, with a difficulty level that "will scale dynamically to provide a deeper level of challenge," so how challenging it will be depends on the experience level of the player and the player's comrades.

but as for you all saying it won't meet up to the online play, you obviously never played cod2!! used to get in from school and could play it for hours every night with my mates for about 2 years!! the online multiplayer of cod2 was just amazing, cod3 was crap though i will admit

agreed, was so happy when modern warfare came out seems a shame to go back, think it has something to do activision dealing with all aspects of the game again

cod2 was made by the same people as cod4 tho. and cod 1 the same as 3 and the new 5. two companys alternate it. and one make **** cods and the other amazing ones
