Help, Nokia 6500...

Hi all,

Normally when I want to put pics/vids from my phone to my laptop, I simply plug it into the usb, go to my computer, go into the phone then save the files onto my computer. However when I plug it in, it flashes to say "new hardware located," but the icon so I can get into the phone is not on My Computer...!?

i got this phone yesterday good but hard to get used to. Have you installed that nokia software suite disk?
Also do you know if you can put an 8Gb card in it with no formatting problems?

i just did it all you do is connect the phone up and then select on the phone , data transfer

That's the problem - the phone doesn't appear. Says "new hardware" but nowt else. It used to, but decided to stop.

Oh I'm used to it, methinks it's just my computer. I have installed that - never use it, really.

I don't know I've never tried.

Try a different USB port first. Are you plugging it into the same one as you always have?
