Ever since I formatted my sister's laptop it displays the log on screen for you to select which user you want to log on as. There is only one user (my sis) and before the format it would log straight on and the desktop appears.
Had a look at the options I can find and nothing seems to have changed and there is no password to enter either so it isn't that which is stopping it. According to my sis its "annoying" as she now has to click her name . Any ideas how to get it to log straight on?

Definately. Couldn't they just put the setting in the user account bit in control panel. It's all sorted now and gone back to uni with the sister (a week of peace and quiet)

AVG 8 free. My sister is obsessed by mcafee (sp?) so she wanted a simple one to last her a few more weeks then she's buying mcafee.

Try and convert her to NOD32 if she is going to pay for AV mate, much better deal IMO!

It has got great reviews all round, I like it because it is very resource efficient, much more so than McAffee. Most of the time you dont even know its there.

NOD32 I use. AVG / Mcafee / Norton are crap... you should swap to NOD32. It is alot better, for everything.
To log it straight on, go into user accounts and delete the 2nd account thats maybe there, it installs itself after an update.
Mines does the same but it doesnt bother me enough to remove it
And can't remember the name of the account as I'm on my Mac
