lew buy one mate. Hoestly it aint worth making one unless you know wat ur doing and wnt a special custom one for some really top end equipment. You gota know the optimum volume etc for the size of the sub.

Boxes are cheap, no point in making one, too much effort if its just litterally cos you dont want to buy one. You'l end up spening more making one and it wnt be as good as the one you could have bort!

18mm mdf, a circular saw, a plane if you're angling it, sealant eg no more nails, some wood screws, a drill and your balls need to have dropped

wouldnt of thought it would be hard, made many harder things...
just remember to plan it carefully before you start sawing or drilling anything!

Actually I'd say buy a prefab box, especially for that crappy sub you're putting in there.

exactly, im not saying its nessesarily difficult to make the box or theres no point in making one, just there is nmo point if ur putting a pants sub in it. Wen you look at the price of prefab boxes the best option for you lew is to buy one.

yeh, its not just as simple as just shoving a sub in a box as i used to think, to get the best out of them people put like passages inside the box so it looks like a maze, im sure i seen it on this forum :\

Yeah, good for a custom ported box, but for what Lew's getting, I'm not sure an Epicenter would make it sound good, easier to slam in a prefab box that costs no more than £30 iirc.

hmmm how to make a box??? that is tricky.......

just get four square bits of wood. stick them together and cut a 10" circle in one of the faces... then paint it or carpet it or fcuk it up in some other lewtacular way....

just don't make too big a box as low powered 10" subs like to live in small houses.
