hi i am buying a mac book this week and was after some speakers too, i was told at the apple shop that these were really good, any one had any experience with them. i will also be taking them with me to uni to use while i live out thanks

well bose are probly one of the best house make avaible for sound equipment so you cant go wrong with them i guess and if you got the money to spend on them go for it

Of course they would recommend Bose, as they sell them. Bose are well overrated though, and you can do better for that money.

I agree with Gaz there. Their original selling point with those little cd players with inbuilt speakers were that not all the drivers faced forward, therefore reflecting the sound behind it aswell building up an artificial surround sound. I paid £140 for some Harman/Kardon Sound Sticks II, they're not bad at all. I can take it up to full vol with some adjustment to the sub's power and it'll be literally 0% distortion on them. I had the JBL Creature II's before these, for the size they were very good too, but I prefer these HK speakers over them. Clearer, bass is more ''relevant'' and much sharper response.
