assuming the components come with a 3 channel crossover, you will need a two channel amplifier. the crossover handles splitting the frequencies.

Well most people havent really got a need for it because with a simple 2 way component and subwoofer setup you have covered all the audiable frequencies between ~30Hz and 20KHz+.

yer i guess, wat are the advantages of a 3 way system then??
Hmmmm, I'd say because the frequency bands are more separated it'd be clearer. Especially good for SQ too because the frequencies can be better placed and better sound stage too.

You've got to be a ICE genius to optimize a 3-way setup. A 2 way system is far easier to install, setup and get sounding right.
Its a car, not a concert hall. And you get used to the sound after about 15 minutes, so all in all, a waste of time and money.

How dare you! My car is primarily a concert hall and only a mode of transport second. Mind you, Coops' is primarily a club :D
