when im playing sometimes the main fans go into overdrive.
i have looked on geek forums and that and they have said its something to do with the blue-ray drive goin overtime
just wanted to know if anyone has had the problem?

its not a problem. the ps3 gets hot, its what it does lol.

its not as loud as an xbox so be happy.

I think mine is the only PS3 that doesnt over heat ....

I've left it on for days before and it hasnt even got warm .

I left mine on for 2 weeks straight in a competition against an XBOX 360 Elite, I came through it with a console that was still cool enough to touch, they got the 3 red lights. There were times through the day when fan speeds would rise but like 20-30 minutes later it'd be back to its natural hummmmmmmm.

mine doesnt overheat.
Try doing the ps3 fan test thing. Turn it off at the back with no disk. Then flick the rocker switch on the back while holding eject for a few seconds
