Help with ICE please

Hi, ive got a corsa sxi with the standard ICE and was looking to upgrade this, can any1 recomend some decent componants and possible tell me how to wire them or give me link to a good tutorial. i have a sony gt310 head unit that was given to make, is this worth keeping or should i invest in a different one. i have about £300 to spend in total. I have been told i would be better running my componants of an amp is this right? if so what kind of amp will i need as i i wish to connect a sub at some point aswell.

Depends on what conponants you are going to buy mate?. and what sub, to pick a ideal amp, we will need the specs of the componants and subwoofer, do you have any in mind ?.

Anything that is within my price range really, im new to this and dont really know what are the best budject speakers, can you recomend any? thanks u will notice throughout this thread i dont kwno a lot but u gota start sumwhere
