im going to be using a Kenwood two channel amp which i got of pete on here. Its not much, but i didnt buy it as a permanent solution.

are you going to have a sub as well?

i will be getting a subbut unsure on which to get atm.. my system is standard apart from sony hu which i will be changing as i just put this in temp

Well, if you are going to get a sub, consider getting a bridgeable 4 channel amplifier for simplicity - you can run the components off of two of the channels, and bridge two of the channels to provide a decent amount of power for the sub. JBL 75.4 perhaps? all depends on budget really.

i have infinity reference comps and they are excellent value for money! deffo go for it! or if you can afford the extra twenty quid, get the infinity kappa comps instead!

Stretch and extra £20 and go for what I said. The SPL Dynamics come highly recommended, especially for the price and the wooden baffles are a must to have it sounding half decent aswell.

i have read the budget ice sticky they recomend the jbl but i have had jbl in the past and i dont rate them so i am looking for alternative

i had these, then blow both the tweeters on them,dont play them too loud, got the midbase in the back now and they fart so i think my right one has blown as well......

If you are you seriously must have abused them badly, give them enough power and break them in properly and they'll last you a long time. There's a few members on here with the SD-6.2's, ask them they'll tell you how good they are.
