Which ones?
The active ones are very good for what they are, very popular.

I have a 12" Vibe Space sub currently building a larger slot ported box at 4 CU, good SPL but needs a few bit of power, 1,000 watt rms so its quite powerful, I do also like the RE subs, my mate has one he is putting 2,500watt rms through it in a 5CU custom slot ported box tuned to 30Hz.

Overall they are not bad.

Yes, they are good for the money, built in amp to match sub.
The pre built boxes the vibe subs come in are good too, nice construction and have good air space. Really like the vented enclosures.

IMO, they are good and at 450 watt rms it should be nice and punchy being a 10"
I have heard good things about these, not heard one myself But im very happy with my Vibe space 12" V2 subwoofer.

If you’re on a budget the Vibe hands down.
The kicker needs to have a box made to the spec of the sub so It can perform best, I wouldn’t just use one of the boxes of ebay with the Square cut front as one they are only sealed and the kicker will work best ported, plus the Kicker needs a large-ish sized box.
I dont know how they sound but power wise they both put out 450watts RMS.

Down to you.
EDIT: you would also need an amp to power the Kicker, where as the Vibe has it all in one.

Vibe and Fli ain't all that to be honest with you, Fli is absolutely shocking. If you're on a budget then yeah maybe an active enclosure is for you.
Depends which kicker woofer your talking about.

I do know in the right box and right power (kicker can take more than the factory spec) the kicker will sound better.
Not keen on Fli myself, but Vibe seem to be doing well, the new death sub is getting some good rep, ask over at talkaudio.co.uk, they are very good and deal with box fab, SPL and SQ applications.

Vibe are pretty decent for budget applications. For very low budgets Fli are acceptable easy solutions.

I had a vibe cbr 12. which BLEW after a couple of months.

which means it wasn't loud enough for me because I had to listen to music on max volume to get the bass really pumping.

therefore I am going for a Kicker L7. Trying to look for a cheap one on ebay but no luck. Let me know if anyone got one for sale.

Maybe if you suggest a budget for the whole lot (box, amp and woofer) we'd be able to point you into the right direction a bit more.
