View Full Version : 1.3 cdti upgraded brakes
Hi all its time to change pads and discs I was just wondering if I can upgrade them as I need new ones. I am not after any thing to silly just seems pointless putting the same ones back in when I am modding my car, alloys standard at the moment if you could list where, and how much should I be looking at paying I have had a quick look online but not much for 1.3.
thank you

Why not just get some diamond discs and EBC pads or EBC disks, or even better fit the 1.8 SRI brakes, you'd need the calipers, discs and pads.
New to corsa's myself as I'm a merc man but I have upgraded all my brakes on the merc from a larger model all that had to be changed with the backing plates, calipers and disc/pads the booster/servo on my Mercedes cosworth is good so that didnt need upgrading.
What sort of price would i be looking at

Not sure, best bet is to try scrappy or ebay to see if one is being broke.
Sorry cant be off much help i'm still new to these myself but price wise discs and pads are not alot, calipers second hand will clean up just check all the seals etc.
Nice one thanks :doublethumbs:

i brought some of ebay for £65 including delivery and they are drilled and grooved disks (look so much better) but the breaking power even with standard pads are amazing compared to the origional. from 70mph to 0 it stops just like that depending on if you have decent tyres.
take it from someone who has tried and tested. definately go for the grooved and drilled breaks.

1.8 SRI and 1.3 CDTI use same Brake system on front : 260mm.
Want something bigger-> Corsa D 1.3 CDTI 90HP discs, calipers and pads : 284mm.
