had 17s fitted to my car last week, Just wondered if i should be worrying about the tracking on my car? Since i had it done last time i have had the car lowered 30mm and fitted the 17s, Thought it would be a gud idea to check what everyone else has done! I dont wana end up wiv a bald patch right round the tyre after only a few thousand miles!!

Cheers Chris

no point in doing any mileage on your wheels - just get them tracked. unlike suspension they dont need time to settle :P

ah, I thoughed he has also lowered the car.
then no need to do anything then having the wheel balanced wen putting them on

read it - he has just had it done so should let it settle b4 he gets it tracked

i thought when you have put new wheels on you should do the balancing and check the tracking? :?

most new wheels come balanced but i would on the safe side get them tracked, dont take long and it then ensures that you aint gunna get bold inside of your tyres....

but he's lowered it too so needs to give the springs time to settle, should really get it done now and in a few hundred miles

Had the tracking done today, went to Kwik Fit. Really impressed with how they did it, bloke that did it said the car looked good and took good care not to scratch my wheels! turned out the tracking was well out, the guy said to call back in three weeks and they will check it again free of charge. Not bad!

Yeah mine feels loads better, Although the steering wheel is slighty off centre. Do you think they can sort that when i go back in three weeks time?
