was going up to tamworth today, on the m1 and heard this huge crack, steering was alright so carried on till i needed some petrol, what happened was a car part was on the m1, outside lane so couldnt exactly swerve, i have the 17" sri multispoke options and has cracked the alloy between 2 spokes, literally bent up and cracked half deep, tyre is knackered aswell. how much you think the rim will be from vx?

Vince, your lucky if that drove for another 150 mile :o another slight knock or bump could quite easily mean instant deflation of tyre which could be arseache, or even worse total alloy failure.

Thats really bad mate, i wouldn't have left the petrol station with a tyre or wheel like that, as someone else said, the slightest knock could have resulted in a nasty blow-out.

Get the spare on now if i were you.

well if you think bout it, the sri ones are £80 odd, then the sports pack 2 is from vx £400, the tints are available seperate at £95, so then the continetals are around £120 each for us, so £20 per wheel is for better/bigger tyres, so pretty much £55 more per rim, which should work out to around £135, then add the vx fat cat margin then minus staff discount works out bout the same. so £250 altogether. what a ****, to go and pick up some snowboard boots which cost £55 and £10 delivery, would have been cheaper to throw them away. deffo selling the car, and a long time before i get such low profile tyres, cos they kill your back.

phoned barry and got the price of £240 for the rim and tyre delivered which aint too bad really, considering the tyre is £100.

got the alloy just now and its all got pecs, the tyres dont have the lil stubs which come on a new wheel and there is rust where the nuts go in and wiped off brake dust, didnt exactly pay 140 for a use alloy and 100 for a used tyre. well unhappy geta few pics up, deffo refusing it as a new product

bottom pic u can see the rust in the nut space so deffo been used. asked for a complete replacement of a NEW TYRE and NEW ALLOY or 50% back and a refurb. think im in my right didnt pay 240 for a used product. looks like its been used and been thrown around.
