Vista is dodgey ground tbh with some ATI products and unsupported hardware. Windows has alot of basic drivers embedded in it which might make it work, but i wouldn't count on it. If ATI haven't made drivers for it, it's more than likely that the hardware itself doesn't support vista (not saying it won't work, but it could be unstable - as was my PC on vista with old hardware [but newer than yours])

I have a NF3 (nforce 3) mobo, with an AGP X800 pro, and there is no software support for them two in conjuction with each other. If i was you, i'd stay on XP (i've gone back to XP myself... and made it look like Vista) and upgrade your PC before you goto Vista.

P.S ...what WoW server u on ? :P

TBH it would be worth updating the card anyway dude. as above, old graphics cards like the 9200 are most likely not supported by Vista due to being such old hardware.

Also Ricky, why are you using a Nvidia chipset with an ATI card? would of been better off with a Nvidia card or an Intel chipset!

Well my hardware is quite old, and it was before the massive nVidia hates ATi and vice versa war really kicked in, so everything worked in harmony ...then Vista came out.

The problem is not with hardware, it's because nVidia won't support ATi products and won't make drivers specifically for NF3 chipsets to work with AGP ATI graphics cards under Windows Vista, claiming that it is outdated hardware.

Basically the drivers released don't tell the motherboard that there is an AGP card in the slot, and instead it reverts to PCI output only...meaning that it's unusable for games really. I could go and buy an olschool AGP nVidia card and everything would be fine though! Scum bags lol... i'm just gunna wait and buy some new hardware for my PC instead...XP isn't all bad :)
