decent lenses (most expensive but best buy)
tripod
photoshop/lightroom/other
remote control
filters

i'd go for lenses first if i were you then tripod and to get the most out of it exsperiment when ever you can coz thats the only way you'll learn how to use all of the camera potential.

TBh, D80 is way too advanced for you. And will take some time getting used to. I suggest reading this.

A pro and uses a D80... D200 minimum for a Pro imho.

Most pro's use Canon anyway :look:

D80's are nice, although I agree with the above - it is a bit advanced for a first camera. Perhaps a D60 + some accessories would have been better, but then again the D80 should last you a long time. Swings and roundabouts

Everyone's getting Nikon's. :(

I feel alone with my Canon. Canon 1D MkIII will be my next body when the 400D's on its way out! The 1D-s is tempting, but not at the price it currently is. Unless it comes down in price.

JJ covered everything. You need half kit, and half person to do good shots, tbh. Even a good photographer can get good photo's on a crap camera, but the camera makes it much easier to get good photo's.
