Hi all,

just popping in on behalf of my other half (she's shy :look: !) who has an SRI and I'm hoping the experts here may be able to help.

Basically, she has a problem with her wipers which are vibrating against the windscreen when in use (not good for clearing rain!). You can hear them vibrating for a while after the wipers stop and if you touch the wiper you can feel it as well. Maybe something has come loose?

Hoping someone might have an idea what might be causing this together with what we (that is, I) can do to fix it. Or is it a case of taking it to the stealers?

Cheers,

Matt

sounds like the motor's shot mate from the info so far, but:

when you say vibration, is it like a gentle vibration or a knocking? Is the vibration actually coming from the wiper arm or is it the plastic scuttle panel that's vibrating making the wiper vibrate? Is it audible after the wipers stop?

SpeedX has been the closest so far. If you ask me it to do with the angle of the wipers on the screen....

Get a pair of mole grips and twist the wiper arm at the end where the blade clips on - bend towards the rear of the car (i.e. twist up) Only a little though. What you are aiming to do is point the wiper down the window instead of it being at 90deg to glass

Bugged me for 2yrs till I bent them..........Let me know......

Thanks for all your help everyone, its much appreciated.

Its definately not the wiper blades themselves - that was my first thought. The whole wiper arm is vibrating and it continues for a minute or so after the wipers stop. I'll have a look to see if I can check the springs are still attached. Failing that I'll check the angle of the blades, but I don't think its that - this is a new fault that has suddenly developed and I don't think the angles changed at anytime.

Out of interest, what does the 'C' in Corsa-C signify?? I'm assuming its the model. My girlfriend's is a late 2000 model (the new shape in 2000 apparently) - is this a 'C', or have I posted on the wrong forum :woops: ? Please forgive my lack of Corsa knowledge!

Anyway, thanks again for all your suggestions and help.

'c' is the Mk of the corsa! the new shape as most people have on here is the 'c'. the old shape corsa is a corsa 'b'.

Yeh nova is EU, when I visited spain the other week saw a few nova's and nova estates and they were labelled "corsa" pretty gutted rlly cos it gives corsa's a bad name..
