My mate at work is getting that thing in pc world where you get a free laptop when you sign up to "THREE" mobile broadband.
Does anyone know if you can use that same dongle to connect the PS3 to the the 3G connection?
I'm thinking that maybe you could set up a wireless network on your pc so that the dongle would kind of work as router. Would this work?

:\ see if any one has some input.
i dont think it would work as the dongle will be a transmitter/receiver for the 3G network, which is not the same as a wi-fi network
WIFI frequency : 2.4GHz or 5GHz range [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wi-Fi]
3G : Base transmit (BTx) 2110 - 2170 MHz Mobile transmit (MTx) 1920 - 1980 MHz [http://www.ofcom.org.uk/static/archive/ra/topics/pmc/document/licencetypes/cellularinfo.htm#3]

You cannot use it directly with the PS3. In theory, you may be able to set up a connection share by either setting up an adhoc wireless network between the PS3 and the wifi computer with the 3 dongle, or by using an ethernet cable.
Someone else asked about something similar, something about playing COD4 on the move, but thesimple answer;
No.
