im considering buying these alloys- 17" with 205/40/17 tyres
i've been told that the offset of the wheels are et16- as stamped on the inside of the rim. after reading through the '17" wheels' topic in this forum it seems that the best offset is et40 or et49 so i was wondering if anyone had any idea if these will go straight on without rubbing with a 30mm drop?

et16! Didn't think wheels came in that low an offset!!! They'd stick out loads if they are truly et16 offset or you sure thats the correct offset?

i think you'll have problems. et16 is the offset for some citroens and 106's.

on 17's you want ET45.

what engine have u got? the SRi 1.8 needs ET38 to clear the rear calipers.

Seems to be a popular question being asked relating to offset for the corsa so I have just put a guide up in the tutorials section about it to help people out:

If you can think of anything to add to it let me know.
