How many people have a delocked door handle?

I am planning on getting my door handles colour coded next and was thinking about buying passenger side handle off an Opel for the drivers side so its delocked.

I have bought a smooth boot handle and popper kit so would kind of all go together.

I have personally never used the lock on the drivers side but I guess its there so that if one day you go to your car and find out that the battery is dead on your key.

What do people think?

We delocked Snowy (Harrys) drivers door not three weeks ago. Why does it need to be an Opel? Just use a Vauxhall 5 door handle (rear drivers side). Needs the top bar taking off but other than that its a straight fit.

Got to consider the chances of battery going flat in remote fob. If you have smooth boot / handle then how would you get into the car? 2nd key fob? Spare battery for 1st key fob etc....

I guess I could always carry a spear battery on my keys?

Sounds like a good idea, can you drive the car if you've climbed in through the boot with it still deadlocked or would the immobiliser stop you starting the engine?

Think I'd rather remove the boot lock than the door handle lock personally but both is risky!

The new door handles have arrived after 3 days of buying them, as for the smoothed boot handle its a nothing after 2 weeks. :|

Im going to carry a spare battery on my keys. As for the car battery would take a few days before that could go flat, in which Corsa's unlock themselfs when the batterys flat anyway.

Nah, the bit about C's unlocking themselves when the battery is flat.

Ohh, give it a go! My old battery used to drain itself then the central locking would pop.

No car I've ever driven will unlock when the battery goes flat. Used to work for a car supermarket moving 20-30 cars a day, so I think I've tried enough of them
