Removed the rub strips and glue looks pefrect, totally smooth but now there is a problem. I have white marks on al four doors and they wont come off. I have tried the following:
-Hairdryer
-T cut
-Polish
-Rubbing with cloth
-WD40
-White spirits
I Higly doubt it is the primer because the black is ontop of it by the looks of it. Here is a picture below.
Please help ASAP :)
Also on my other door it looks as if the white marks that i have rubbed down has gone to the primer. (it never went black first tho but my rag has loads of black on) has it gone to far!!! http://i357.photobucket.com/albums/oo11/Jonmoles/PA041592.jpg
Mate youve ruined your paint?
You need a heatgun or a verrrrrry long time with the hair dryer. Scratch all you want its below the lacquer..

basics just get the heat gun on it for a whileee
if that fails, buy new side strips and colour code.

Surely it's obvious that paint stripper will more than damage the paint!

Year was a bit annoyed at the time and had a mad moment, lol.
Did think about paying to have that part rubbed down and repainted but not sure on the cost.

Paintstripper?? Hahha. You idiot.
I got the white lines too, its condensation, use a heat gun to take it off but be careful not to get to close with it or you could peal your paint off too.

I have the exact same problem just now :(
Ive been advised to give the lines a gentle rub down with 1500 (or was it 2000 :?) paper and give it a good polish/buff up and that should sort it out.
If all else fails, try cillit bang

DONT DO THAT! Never heard anything so stupid! Boil a kettle and poor the water over it, got rid of mine in a few minutes, easy peasy:)

by any chance do you mean that uve got the strips off, got ride of the thick white lines and are left with white lines around the edges of where the strips used to be?
Buy a heat gun from Woolies (about £10) and heat up the white area a bit at a time, don't hold the gun too close and keep it moving around a bit to prevent a heat build up in one place.
You'll notice two things, the white will disapear and the metal will dimple a bit, don't worry as the dimples will come out as the metal cools down.
You need patience to do it so don't rush becuase like paining a little at a time is best, but it does work:
