normal as in standard aftermarket door speakers you usually put in the doors.
Basically my question is can anyone recommend sum good speakers to replace the door and rear ones?
id say get yourself a decent set of 17cm components for the front
and either another set of components or coaxials as you already have bass you wont need 6x9s
agree^^^^
easier just to disconnect the rears though and wire up the rear comps/coaxials in the shelf or something

Hi,
im in the process of replacing my rear speakers, only thing i am missing is some new rear speakers! lol! i had 6x9's running with my sub before, the 6x9's just added too much volume and gave me a headache. So after removing them, i realised my components up front performed so much better! So 1st things 1st, make sure you can spend as much money as you can on your front speakers (components will be best) you wont regret it.
so i am just looking to add some rear speakers to add the extra fill for the passengers()feel a bit bad for them in the back, with only bass pounding in their ears lol). I have manged to access the rear speakers and yes, they are standard 13cm speakers. they even have the adaptor to hold them in place! All you will need is 13cm speakers with 4 screw holes that stick out (most 13cm speakers are desinged like this, look at some and u will know what i mean)
the rear speakers wernt as hard to access as i thought, the hardest part being taking the rear seatbelt nut off, above the rear seats(u need a big, big torx screw). After that, give the flimsy white platic trim a tug and it will unclip, undo all the screws you see holding the grey plastic trim down and it will come free with the speaker attached! job done! not hard at all!
are the speakers screwed into the adapters in the rear? cos on the corsa b they were only twisted into the adapters, wandering if i can twist em out and replace speakers without takin inside car apart?

why do u have 6 by 9s in the same box as ure subs as they are as good as ornaments there
i was going to ask the same the 6x9's are gonna fight the subs for air space and lose big time.
why do people put 6x9's in the rear with subs there is no point to them get some good comps up front and amp them get some cheap co-ax's for the rear and run them of the headunit and use the subs in the rear for bass not some chavy 6x9's which have no point unless you can box them up to give them some bass response and thats only if you have no subs in the back.
