i want to fit a aftermarket headunit onto my C, i took out the factory headunit, took out the cage, got the fascia etc but the new sony headunit cage doesnt go in much, its very small. How can this small cage be secured into the space provided??! without moving around!
cheers.

You sure you've got the right new facia? Should convert the double din to single din for your aftermarket radio.

New cage should then be pretty tight, and just need to bend the metal bits into place to hold it in.

Any pics? Might help

yeh i have the correct fascia but i havent put the cage in yet. I am just wondering once i fit the fascia in, will the cage stay firm?!?! because i dont beleive only the fascia can hold the cage in firmly.

You need to bend the little metal bits on each of the sides of the new cage once you put it in, this secures it in place

its kinda small metal triangular shaped bits, usually in the the corners along the 2 longer sections of the cage if that makes sense
once the cage is in just use a screwdriver or ur fingers to push them down a bit

hope that makes sense
