amping front comps... again!

Hiyahh!! (well good morning! :P)

I cant sleep and have just decided that i am going to try and do my install on wednesday :D yey!!

Im gettin there with most of it... but have came across 1 wee issue! haha!! I have been reading anything i can about crossovers (ta search! :D) but could not find the answer i need!

The idea is to use the cable already in place going from the hu to the standard speakers. which sounds fine! even know to cut off standard tweeter due to shinobi (nice! :D)

my question is.... at the back of the hu... that iso thing, what cables am i looking to pull off and attach my amped cables to?! like what colours? or is there an easy way to find out?!

when amping

from the headunit to the amp, u use the leads with the red/white plug connections on, then from the amp to the speakers is the iso, and instead of plugging the iso into the headunit connection, u have a bunch of speaker wires with an iso connection coming from the amp which u plug in there instead

so u have 1 iso connected to the hu and the other connected to the speakers

that way ur amping the speakers but using the original wiring aswell

I get the whole hu to amp bit :)

then ya come back up the car with the amps speaker outs.... 2 for each speaker id guess lol. Then i assumed i need to keep the iso plugged into the head unit. THEN find out what cables on the iso are going to the door speakers, and chop them off and attatch my amped cables to the chopped bits (in the directinon of the doors), And just leave the chopped bits from the back of the hu hanging (all unconnected)

u have 2 iso's on ur HU, 1 is for like, the hu power, earth etc, the other is from the HU to the speakers

when u amp them, u have speaker connections on the amp. u'll run these speaker wires down from the amp to the back of the hu, and they'll have an iso on the end. u plug THIS iso into the speaker iso. so the amp now controls ur speakers

u plug the other iso into ur HU, so the hu still has all the power thingys

then u have the phono leads, the wires with the plugs on with red and white, these go from ur hu to ur amp

u'll also have earth and power running down to ur amp

this means, when u remove the old speakers, u can just use the wires they used for ur new speakers
