View Full Version : Jenas has Spurs medical
Newcastle United midfielder Jermaine Jenas has undergone a medical at Tottenham, Sky Sports News revealed.
The former Nottingham Forest ace is now expected to join the White Hart Lane outfit in a deal worth a reported £9 million.
The England international's future has been the subject of much speculation this summer with many believing he was unsettled in the North East.
Newcastle have strengthen their midfield options this close season, with the additions of Scott Park and Emre, and have decided to allow Jenas to move on.
It could be a double press conference for Spurs on transfer deadline day with Lee Young-pyo joining the club, subject to receiving a work permit.
Thats excellent news :D, slighlty makes up for buying Owen, £9million aswell, haha i would have been happy with £3million. :D
spurs are buying loads of players! :o
reckon they'll get in europe this year
Thats made my day knowing Jenas is gone, just Dyer to go now and il be over the moon. lol

I wud have dyer ANY day! He has incredble pace and and great sence of the game! How cud u posssibly say u want him gone!
Sours are gona do ok this year as long as we stay clear of INJURIES again! If u look over the passed 5-6-7-8 Eevn 9 years, We have sigend just as many if not MORE players in the summer! Just this time, The yseem Worth it!
Us sours fans had this about 7 years ago, The time we got RUKE FOX, GINOLA, FERDINAND, KLINGSMAN. All big names at da time, and we thought we were gona win the league! Not gona happen!
Spurs are gona supprise a few people, BUT dont be supprised if we dont im affraid!

He might be quick, but what do we get out of it at the end of the day, he never creates anything and he rarely scores, for £80,000 a week id rather see him gone.

They sure are mate...
- Yeah I am thinking that.
Will be good for the club though as they have been destined for bug things for a long time but something always seems to go wrong :(
I dont think Newcastle was the best choice he made TBH, a team like Liverpool or Tottenham wud have suited him better, Even Manchester Utd.
Newcastle have now got Owen! but tbh, Whats the point of havin Two great strikers and no to provide!
Y y sold Robert, i will never know, And now jenas, A Attackin Midfikeder, Its like One Step Forward, 2 steps back!
Owen is a unloye player aswell, he will leave the second he gets a chance! He even has a 12 month get out cluase in his contract! Basicly, Theres TWO possible reasons for that.
1. He dosent really belive newcastle will be in the prem next season, And only cam to Newcastle to get GARRENTED FIRST TEAM football ahead of the world cup
OR
2.He Belives if he performs well at newcaslte and at the world cup, He will get a bigger move.

Eeven this season!
W.Roughtlet
L.King so far!
didn't robert leave newcastle over a handbags with souness? he's only on loan tho ain't he?
didn't robert leave newcastle over a handbags with souness? he's only on loan tho ain't he?
Yup
i don't think this is a wise move at alll
1) we're full of injuries in midfield
2) he's just being a tart and needs a slap
3)he has massive potential, once someone gives him a kick up the arse
about dyer - he might have HAD that pace, but he can't ru at full pelt coz he'll just fall over in a big heap and cry and have to go off injured. he's the biggest waste of space at the club now, his final ball is a disgrace for a footballer, he cant shoot to save his life, and he cant be relied on to finish a match
i hope if we're selling jenas, we're buy another striker, a couple of defenders and a couple of wingers
I think Jenas is a good player! Must be summin Speicail if Wenger wanted him

that's the EXACT reason i don't wanna sell him
the money will prob go 2 paying 4 owen rather than new players?
how r newcastles finances? :?
god knows lol, it has to go on new players, no choice
I still think £9mill is abit pricy, But i think it shows Spurs Ambition this season.
2 years ago, BEFORE cheasea had all these Super stars, People would have said SPURS have a league winning team!
Robbinson
King
Naybet
Davids
Carrick
Jenas
Defo
Mido
Keane
There all fantastic player :o I think we have a btter team than Liverpool and everton TBH

Agree mate
keane and mid oare average and naybet is past it
Yea, Keane is slightly Over rated, But still has a lethal finish. Naybet is no longer at his best, But can u imagine what he is teaching the likes of KING, dawsen, huddlstone, ifil :o
robinson is playing his best football now IMO, and carrick seems 2 b improving all the time
I also belive players like
Pedro Mendes
Andy Reid
Teemu Tainio
Paul Stalteri
Are very good also! We have loadsa cover now, Were as B4 Spurs used to get an injury and cudnt cover it!
like i said a few weeks ago, spurs seem to have the right idea and moving forward
what about that ziegler, i've always thought he looks good? is it just match opf the day making him look good? lol

he's gonna get griefed to **** when he gets back up here, then he'll cry off the pitch again
 I BET he is to :P
I cant belive were siging so many SUPURB palyers. Herd a whisper last night from my mate, He reckons spurs are siging SAHA aswell :?
bloody hell
call jenas superb when he's superb on the pitch for u...calm it lol
www.nufc.com is pretty much the opinion of what we all think of him (although they do moan a LOT and not always rightly so...but the jenas view is fair)
He is gona be good for us  Belive :P Me
he's gone down in my estimations over how he left. he probably will be better coz he'll be "happier" now
Yea, It seems spirits are High at white hart lane
Jol has done sumthin special there ;)
he bums them all, go on, admit it, that's y ur a spurs fan :P
he does yes :( Sorry to say

Well said.
:D the new £80k a week contract is a joke
thats true! It made me laugh
same old though...we'd sell him and he'd never get another injury and destroy anyteam in the world
wot a great start he has had hey :)
wot a great start he has had hey :)
The reason being is that he doesnt have half the pressure on him at Tottenham to perfom as what he had at Newcastle.
