Hey People.
Just wanting to amp my speakers as my bass over powers them. Iv got 110 wot RMS 6x9's and 100 wot RMS front speakers. My headunit outputs 4 x 52 wots. would I need a 4 channel amp that would be a total wotage of my speakers ? Or would it just be the total wotage take away the output of the headunit ? What would people suggest wolud be an ideal amp (wotage) for my setup.
THANKS ALL !
i would reccomend you get a decent 2 channel amp for the front comps and not worry about the 6*9's for now, so a 100wrms x 2 amps should be alright for your front comps
you cant add the head unit power to the amp powerbtw

Ok, but I already got 1 amp for sub and dont really want to go above 2 amps. So How do you work it out. Is it the RMS of the speakers = The RMS of amp
IE - 100 wot RMS speakers would need a 2 channel 100 wot amp
100 wot RMS speakers + 110 wot RMS 6 x 9's would need a 4 channel 200 -250 wot amp ?
Do you not consider or include what the headunit outputs ?
Cheers for help mate !
100wrms speakers will need each channel of the amp to be 100wrms, unless the speakers are 50wrms then a 50wrms x 2 amp will do. post a list of your equitment and when i log on tommorow ill choose some stuff for you
