very nice tidy car.i've had two v6's,sri and gsi.loved the gsi but the sri was nothing but trouble.had FOUR gearboxes, two steering racks and centre box in first nine months.keep an ear open for a squeak from the steering column, this will be the grommet at the bulk head having worn.a squirt of white grease cures this, for a while, otherwise it's £2,000.
the flat spot at 3500-4000 can be cured by having the ecu reprogrammed by your dealer.get the rear suspension bushes checked regularly,as they wear out and cause the rear tyres to have a very hort life span.HAVE FUN

cheers for the tips m8, i am not new to the vectra they are all i have drove since passing my test started off with the 1.6 and now onto the V6. i hope the gearbox doesn't go anytime soon lol she is under warranty so i suppose if it does go i would rather it go sooner rather then later. regarding the flat spot i dont seem to have one most V6's suffer with them i don't know if the center section has helped iron that out or not. i might fit a 4 bar fuel regulator because that's supposed to fully eliminate the flat spots but as i said i am lucky enough not to suffer with it.

the car its self is imaculate the pictures do not do it justice there is not a mark inside or out not even a stone chip on the bonnet its like a new car

my first car shown above was a 1.6 16v vectra for the first year the insurance was £1500 maybe a little bit more then after i had 1 years ncb i got it for just under £1000 to move up to the V6 it was an extra £300 so my new premium is something like £1254
