Corsa 1.2 SXI 16v 03plate.
Does mine have a cambelt or chain?
My neighbour said he thought its a chain. And would only need replacing if i start to hear a ticking noise

If so when would this need to be changed or tightend at anytime?

Cheers

That dont sound like the problem or shouldnt be for an 06plate.
I heard they last a cars lifetime and may need tweeking around 90k - 100k

But needs to be confirmed by a good old Corsa C buddy ;)

but urs is a 06 and u get 4 years warranty with vauxhall themselfs anyways, just get it in while you can mate !
and any other problems you have just mention them, they may do that for you aswel! :D

ive called vx recalls n they said warranty ran out 3 weeks ago.. gutted. so am i best off buying the kit online n gettin garage to fit? mine not too bad yet but it is damn annoyin. or am i best waiting til it gets worse? will it keep coming back when its been done?

BarmyArmy

You sure chain needs replacing at 60k?
Ive been told by 3 people that hopefully shouldnt need doing and if it does around 100k?

Radetzky
20-04-2009, 12:27
Most likely it could that you have a crack on your exhaust mainfold, common problem on 1.0 engine. The chain usally starts rattling after about 100k, beacuse the tensioners are worn out.

BarmyArmy
20-04-2009, 15:26
You sure around 60k?
3 people I spoke to said around 100k ?
