Hi all,
Fitted my new 17" alloys 205.40 offset 40 to my 2003 corsa sxi and when i go over a slight bump/hump or turn sharp theres like a farting rumble :? the cars also lowered 30mm on eibach springs. Help need please. Many Thanks, Nick
yeah wrong offset the lowest you should really go on 17's is et42.few people having rubing on et40
trim the arches on the inside to stop it. You'll probably find it's the bolt's on the arches it's catching on. trim/file em down to suit.
yeah that should help kash this is what vauxhall do when they fit there wrong offset alloys

Eeeeeee, what alloys you got mate? I think Wolfrace Voodoo II alloys are et40 too :(
I dont get any rubbing with me ET40 17's, well i do but none is related to offset, just because of the overall diameter of the wheel rubbing on the bit on the rear bumper which comes down. My wheels fit under the wheel arches fine

Easily solved m8, take off the two nuts on the wheel arch at the back. Then bond the arch to the metal. Use masking tape to hold the archin place while the bonding drys.
Use a bonding agent like the bodyshops use, ie Stickaflex. Dont use silicone as its not strong enough.

Irmscher Sportstar 17" 7j et38
Rubbin as well? they even use 215/40-17 tyres
yeah et38 is even worse i don't know why vauxhall/opel use this offset.take it back to vauxhall/opel and they trim the arch's for you
