I haven't a clue what this is!

Last night when I was bored stuck in traffic I was fiddling away with cigarette lighter then I noticed that there seems to be a small panel missing from underneath my centre console, with what feels like a parallel port in it. You can't notice it while sitting in either seat you have to get right up close to see it.

I haven't got a clue what it is and I forgot to look it up in the user manual so hopefully someone out there can tell me what this bit is and what it is used for please? :?:

that's where vauxhall plug there diagnostic tool into the car's brain

Thats where you plug your laptop in, for upgrading/re-programming the ECU .. and stuff like that.

just below the heater daz.put your hand under the dash just below the heater blower switch and you will feel it

ah i thought it might be something like that. I was going to post a new topic saying where is the daig port for the corsa but now i dont have to!

Just one thing, can my car be tuned to go faster using the diag. port it i took it to vauxhall or someone with the right equipment?

With alot of car's it can be finely tuned through that port, dunno about the C mate - will have to wait for Chewy.
