coilovers or spring kit?

whats the difference between these im new 2 all this suspension stuff obv and thinkin bout gettin my car lowerd after having 17s on bout 35mm. i dont what 2 lose handling quality - wud like better handling idealy. what wud u suggest

sme ppl say springs can improve the handling but you need the stiffer dampners on them 2 improve the handling!
u can go 4 a pring kit with dampners, which will improve the handling and look of the car but coilovers will do this a lot better and you will also be able to adjust the ride height as well.
been told you can lower the car more than 35mm on 17's, even as far as 60mm!!! hinking of doin bout 40mm on my SXi when i get my coiovers.
