Help me with my offset!

I had pretty much made my mind up to get 17's in 45mm offset but after reading various posts I am now not sure again!

Just to Double check, shall I get 45, 42 or 40??

Its a 2002 (pre face lift) 1.4 SRI with the bigger brakes??

Keith you will need et40 due to the SRi having bigger calipers mate, ive posted it up earlier too. Im down 40mm on et40 on my SRi and its spot on, anything closer will rub on the caliper, standard sri wheels are et40 too.

Incase you're still after advice...
I've got ET38 Alloys with a 7in width on my 1.8 SRi. Car is only lowered by the factory Standard 15mm but I've no rubbing at all.

Originally I got ET48 as was advised by all that Corsa C's take ET45+ but when they arrived, due to the SRi having rear calipers, they wouldn't even go on the rear never mind rub.

ET40 should be fine also.
