I need you guys to tell me if i could lower my car without getting rubbing.
I av got some 17'' team dynamic megastar alloys on et40 tyres on my 1.2 C.
The only problem is they do seem to fill my arches quite abit so i am wonderin wether it would be possible.

Thanx everyone!!!
:P

just want to make sure that ur not getting confused about offset / ET, the 40 as in 205/40/17 is not the offset it is the aspect ratio of the tyre. Do you know for certain that the offset is 40??

as for springs, 17's and 30mm eibachs make a great team and are better for your existing shocks than other makes / drops!!

no they are 205/40/17, i think i made a boo boo, how do i find the offset then and will this make any difference to me gettin eibachs?

offset is usually stamped on the back of one of the spokes on your wheels, usually marked ET followed by a number. as for lowering it on eibachs, anything under 40 offset and you may get rubbing on your arches when going over bumps etc but it won't rub normally, ideal offset is 45, mine are 40 and i get no rubbing.
