View Full Version : wheel bolts
ive just got sum 18s and want to put them on the car ! do i need new wheel bolts and locking wheel bolts or will the standard ones on the sxi do ??
cheers
mark
All depends on the wheel.
The standard Vaux locking nuts have a collar on them, making them no good for certain wheels with a narrow bolt shaft. I had to buy onthers for the Reflexes and give them away. McGard are one of the best at around £30 a pair if your vaux ones don't fit. Also the standard bolts look poor in comparison to some nice new alloy bolts, so go on, splash out a bit further and do it properly.
You need M12 x 1.5 threaded bolts, 26.4mm long with a 17mm Hex head. McGard part Nuber 2717
As I said, normally £30 from Halfrauds but my last ones I got for £17 of the bay. None there at the moment, just looked for ya ;)
