I have noticed a lot of you guys have your windows tinting. I called a professional window tint firm and was quoted like £200+ to tint all the windows.
Ive also noticed you can buy pre-cut window tint from a company called defender! has anyone had experience with this tint, what is the finish like? is it easy to install and is it easy to remove.
thanks guys
I tried to tint my windows myself and it was a nightmare :(
The going price at the moment is around £180ish for tints.
Where about are you in the country :?:

Birmingham here mate
Get it done by a pro mate. Trust me it will be worth it - see loads of people cars that have tinted their windows themselves and it doesnt look good, they get bubbles in them really easily.
You shouldn't be paying more than £150-18- for tints. Don't try and do it yourself, there is a knack to this, and you'll need the knowledge, tools and solutions to make it work correctly. It aint worth the hassle. There must be a few places in your area, try blagging them down by saying one of your rivals has quoted me £180 (or whateve figure you like) and ask if they can better it.
Because it's a small market, it's often quite ruthless, so competition is hig and they should be able to give you a better deal.
Don't forget the new laws mean you can't tint in front of the B-Pillar legally, so they might not offer you the choice and may just charge you for the rear 3 windows :o

u can put a very very light smoke on it...infact, so light u can basically see thru it. so not really worth the hassle of tintin it.

Tint film only has a guaranteed life of 10 years before degrading and breaking down. Most peeps don't keep a car this long which is why they told you that. Would be worth keeping the car to find out if they'd honour it
i live near bham an have been quoted £150 2 hav my car tinted, any1 recomend any tinting firms in my area.
