brakes making a nasty noise

ive recentley had a set of ebc turbo grooved discs and omp road race pads fitted to my corsa sxi.

i did the usual 200 miles running in period,then the other day i had to brake very sharply and now the brakes are consently squeeling when you press the pedal.
they slow you down but they dont lock up.

anyone else had this trouble before

that sort of set-up should bite like a rottweiler with lockjaw! The problem is you will find it hard to conciously lock the wheels. Reactions hit the pedal harder and faster than intentionally stomping on it.

I would suggest persevering with it for another 200 or so miles and see if it clears failing that, a clean up and inspection of the pads to see if anything is obvious.

i will give it another 200 miles and if no joy then the garage can have it back to see whats wrong.

A lot of sportbrakepads just simply squeel, but you could try what Ka$h said first.

Oh you also might want to get some teflon brake hoses and some special brake fluid, you will notice the pedal becoming much stiffer after.
